Lindsey Clarke reports from LOUGH MELVIN – Monday 22nd to Sunday 28th February 2016.
Lough Melvin was fairly quiet over the week though a few boats ventured out over the week. Trout fishing was quiet with little angling effort for the same as is usual this early in the season. Most of the boats were targeting salmon. On Thursday, Melvin Schofield recorded a 10lb salmon caught at 3.00pm Trolling off Ward’s Point. This is the first salmon recorded for the Rossinver Fishery.
