Lindsey Clarke reports from LOUGH MELVIN – Monday 15th to Sunday 21st February 2016.
Lough Melvin was fairly quiet over the week. There were a number of boats out on occasion however. Congratulations go to John Flanagan, Garrison, for catching the 1st Melvin salmon of the season on Thursday. The fish weighed 8lb 8ounces and was caught trolling in Flanagan’s Bay. Also a good fresh salmon was lost in the Rossinver Waters on Sunday. After 3 spirited leaps it threw the hook!
